KLWAS Wine tasting events are open to everyone. The events are based around good wine and great company. Generous helpings of at least 8 wines often including lively sparkling fizz, full-bodied reds, lemony whites and delicious dessert wines. 

These are usually presented by an independent wine merchant.

Our aim is essentially to make that visit to the wine merchant or supermarket aisle a more challenging, interesting and hopefully informed experience.

Annual membership is £12.50.

 

Members attendance fee is £15 per wine tasting event. Guest attendance fee is £17.50 (Guests can attend for a maximum of three tastings during the course of a year).

The membership fee covers the hire of the hall throughout the year and any tasting expenses, glasses, biscuits or extra food we provide on the night.

The tasting attendance fee only covers the costs of the wines on the night. We ask our wine merchants to select a representative cross section of their list giving a wide range of prices which in turn gives you a chance to try higher priced wines you may not normally think of buying.

There is often the possibility of ordering the wines presented at a discount. The wine order payments go directly to the wine merchant. KLWAS does not recieve any commission from the wine merchant for any wine sales.

KLWAS does not operate to make a profit and there is no requirement to purchase wine at any event. We only ask that you enjoy yourself and hopefully the wine.

We welcome casual wine drinkers as well as committed connoisseurs.
